The right LED lighting in your grocery store can enhance product presentation and elevate the customer experience while saving you money on your energy and maintenance costs.
While there are many benefits, these are our top four:
Compared to traditional lighting, the lifespan of LED's is far superior and can last on average 50,000+ hours, or anywhere from 6 - 12 years before you need to replace them. (which is approx. 40 times longer than Incandescent bulbs!)
LED light bulbs use around 75-85% less electricity than incandescent bulbs, and approx. 50% less than fluorescent tubes.
LED's provide higher lumens per watt and produce more light at lower wattage levels, making them much more efficient and power-wise than filament light.
Approximately 80-90% of the total energy used to power traditional bulbs (like incandescent) is converted directly into heat.
LEDs emit almost no forward heat and don't produce any UV rays, and because they consume less power, they can operate effectively on low voltage systems which are generally much safer.
By switching to energy-efficient lighting, you will more than likely qualify for rebates and incentives to help you save on your initial investment. These programs are constantly changing & vary by province, but our team can help you easily navigate them & assist with applications!
From enhancing the vibrant hues of fresh meat and produce, to guiding customers through well-lit aisles, LED lighting has become an integral part of modern grocery store design. The right fixture and colour temperature can create an elevated experience for your customers, enticing them to make purchases based on their visual appeal.
LED's are adjustable to enhance the customer experience. A pleasant shopping environment encourages customers to spend more time in store and increases the likelihood of making more purchases.
The flexibility of LEDs allow for bright, uniform illumination that effectively showcases products on shelves, making them more visually appealing and easier to find.
LED's consume significantly less energy compared to traditional lighting. This translates to reduced electricity bills, and contributes to sustainability efforts.
We exceed your expectations - so you can exceed your customers.

The most common types of fixtures used in grocery stores include Strip/linear lighting, track heads, high bays, and cylinders to name a few. In the produce department for example, we'd recommend track heads and high bays to enhance the colours of all the different types of food. For Aisle lighting, we'd suggest strip lights or some form of linear suspended fixtures, plus track heads in certain areas. It varies by store however; our Lighting Consultant would make recommendations after a site visit is conducted.
Yes, there are a number of different rebates available depending on which province you live in. We can assist you with the application process and help you to maximize your rebate opportunity.
Absolutely! After the initial site visit, a member of our team will prepare a detailed lighting spec with specific recommendations for different areas of the store. We would also work closely with designers and electrical contractors to ensure lighting is spaced accordingly and suits your aesthetic requirements.
Commercial lighting has been one of our best suppliers. Their pricing is very competitive and our sales rep is awesome to work with; and quote turn around is quick. Thank you for all of your help.
