Incentives for Tubular LEDs now available through BC Hydro

BC Hydro has recently updated its Business Energy Saving Incentives (BESI) program to include new incentives for tubular LEDs, making energy-efficient lighting upgrades more accessible for businesses.

The development of ballast-compatible LED tubes, along with advances in integrated driver technology and improved safety compatibility standards have made it easier to retrofit existing tubular lighting with efficient LED tubes. These lighting options are ideal for commercial and industrial spaces looking to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs.

How to Access the Rebates

Businesses can take advantage of the rebates by applying through BC Hydro’s BESI program. Here’s a step-by-step process:

  1. Identify Eligible Products: Work with a BC Hydro Alliance of Energy Professionals member or an electrical contractor to determine which tubular LEDs are right for your facility.
  2. Submit an Application: Complete the BESI application form through BC Hydro’s online portal.
  3. Receive Rebates: Once approved, the incentive will help offset your project costs!

LED tubes will be required to be qualified through the Design Lights Consortium (DLC) to be eligible.
